Online GPS Compliance Monitoring

Continuous, automated monitoring of Generator Performance Standards (GPS) and grid code compliance for power plants.

Online GPS Compliance Monitoring automatically collects operational data, calculates GPS criteria, benchmarks the results against the agreed GPS requirements and detects non-compliance events. When a non-compliance event is detected, the pre-event, during-event and post-event data are stored in the events database, so the evidence is ready when the network operator asks for it.
Plant owners no longer need an engineer to collect operational data and analyse GPS compliance every month, three months or six months. Because GPS requirements are fully parameterised, operators can update them easily whenever the requirements change. A typical example is the set of generator requirements under clause S5.2.5 of Australia’s National Electricity Rules.
